At church. Jana Alyra.
If you haven't heard her, that's ok. She's pretty much a local phenomenon.
But part of the show is having kids on stage.
Yes. you guessed it. Our Drama Queen was up there. Not that she did alot of singling kids out, but Kayla went up when she invited all the 5 year old kids up.
Rather funny was when she invited 4 year olds up, Kayla thought JM needed to be up on stage- pushed and dragged him in that general direction. JM did.not. think he should be onstage. In fact was freaking out til I saw what was going on. He then spent the rest of the concert with us (instead of in the mosh pit of kids) just incase his sister wanted to try that again.
Anyway.. here's her on stage. The camera starts shaking in the end from my laughing. You may find it funny. Or not. It's your option.
(long pause here)
OK it's taking a year and a day to get this thing to upload video. It's 81 MB which my email is telling me is too much for me to mail. It's picky. I'd use my other email address that's less picky but I got myself locked out of it and haven't taken the time to try to get help on it.
Ohh wait. it's finally doing something. The box where the video's supposed to go went from grey to blue to black.

Well HELLOOOO February!
February! Already!
Yes, time has flown.
To hit the highlights of the past month or so...
Another year passed and I didn't mail any Christmas cards. I still have a thank you card to mail from Sept. I am horrible about getting things from the house to the mailbox. Really I should put the computer down, walk to my desk, get the card, find a stamp and walk down the street and put it in the mailbox.
In actuality I am sitting here and know that the finding stamps is going to put a wrench in the works.
I miss the days I was organized.
Anyway... the swingset is up. And while sorting bolts nuts and boards took some time, it's been worth it. the kids have been giving it a workout nearly everyday. And kids out of the house with something to do is always a good thing here because a. less mess and destruction in side b. less destruction outside.
And now it's girl scout cookie season. And some girl who doesn't even live in our neighborhood went door to door on Sunday. I was really annoyed and thinking rather uncharitable things. The same sort of things that came to mind when we had 250 more kids trick or treating here than live here. humph.
So I have $308 worth of cookies sitting here in my living room which I need to sell in the next 2 weeks.
If you want cookies, please let me know.
In old news.. if you remember the girl that Kayla was having problems with waay back in the first week of school? well... we've been carpooling together since October. And it works out ok. kinda. I get a bit of a bee in my bonnet that the other mom is sooo chronically late in picking up the kids she's responsible for picking up. And I'm working on getting up the nerve and the tact to say in a polite way that perhaps we'd switch pick ups so I'd get the older kids (knowing I'd go on time to get them...) And if she gets the kindergarteners 1 hour late, I'd just get Kayla with the older kids. j
Other than that, I'll remind you all that I have a guest room and we don't have snow. Not a flake. In fact it's 68 degrees right now and sunny. Rough life, I know. Particularly after my dad sent me a picture of their house. Now I fully realize that the picture is a bit exagerate since they had to get the snow off their roof but still.. seeing him between 2 snow banks about as tall as he is make me think "WHY do people live there?!?!?!?" But again, some people live on the north bank of Alaska. But I bet they don't have traffic or smog....
So now I need to get off the computer and take Sonia and her cookies up and down some residential street selling cookies. Sadly, they have these prizes for those who sell so much cookies. Sonia's got her eye on the 800 boxes of cookies prize. That's plain insane. But she's got it in her head that she can do it. We'll see. I'm not sure I have it in me to knock on over 1000 doors peddling cookies. ugh. I'm getting dizzy thinking of it.
